Digitalization is one of the strategic pillars of Renewi. To achieve this ambition, IT Digital & Data is transforming towards Agile thinking and working. Our Scrum Teams are responsible for a product (or group of products) and the underlying applications. Each team is responsible for keeping the applications running, managing their lifecycle, and handling must-do changes such as Security and Legal requirements. Additionally, each Scrum Team is also responsible for implementing new functionalities, proposed and prioritized by the Product Owner. 

The teams work according to ITIL and Agile methodologies (such as Scrum, Kanban, and DevOps), facilitated by the Scrum Master. 

We are looking for a new colleague to join the Data Office as Scrum Master Data. In this role, you will facilitate and coach the team by removing obstacles and helping them prioritize work in a way that ensures customer satisfaction. You will oversee dependencies with other teams and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders within Renewi.  

Additionally, you play a crucial role in quality assurance. This includes reviewing requirements, drafting test plans, and conducting both technical and functional testing of solutions developed within the team. You will also contribute to the implementation of Test Automation. 
You will be a driving force in the team’s growth towards a DevOps way of working, providing insight into team performance and raising necessary improvements to achieve goals. 

What will you do?

• Work closely with the Product Owner to define priorities and the roadmap for the Scrum Team, including alignment with our partners;
• Ensure a high-performing team and take actions to optimize the functioning and delivery of the team;
• Apply Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps) as much as possible within our agile scaling framework;
• Provide functional guidance to the Scrum Team, ensuring an effective sprint planning, facilitating Scrum meetings, and enabling the team to perform at its best;
• Identify and address bottlenecks within the organization;
• Together with the team, monitor the quality of user stories, incident reports, clear acceptance criteria, and documentation of developments;
• Ensure qualitative execution of the change, release, and deployment process.

What do we ask of you?

• Mbo/hbo (vocational/university) level of work and thinking;
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, with a track record of delivering results in a complex environment;
• A strong focus on collaboration and trust, with the ability to motivate the team and bring out the best in individuals;
• A vision for continuous improvement and the ability to achieve goals;
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in sharing opinions in a dynamic environment.
• Coaching skills to effectively guide and support the team in their personal and professional development;
• Knowledge and experience in working with Azure DevOps (AzDo);
• A pragmatic and flexible approach in applying Scrum ceremonies and other Agile tools and methodologies, without compromising the core Agile principles.
